Before joining IG Wealth Management in 1986, Jon trained as a teaching generalist and ESL specialist and taught for eight years – primarily in the Arctic and Northern Ontario. Jon received his CFP designation in 1996 and has been working in the IG Toronto Downtown office since 1987.

In 1992, Jon took over his father, John Whitehead’s, IG practice which John Sr began in 1962. Jon continued to build on what his father had started: working with families and organizations to provide excellent service and financial advice and to help clients achieve financial security and success. Jon has enjoyed working with generations of families and looks forward to continuing to do that with the assistance of Sheelah and Carolan.
